Off the Table began in the summer of 2020 by Chef Zoe Schor and Whitney LaMora as a solution to bring our friends and community together in their home kitchens during quarantine. Our goal is to make home cooking more approachable by teaching new skills, recipes and providing a direct line to our Chef for personalized questions. Together we create a fun learning environment with plenty of gin to boot.

Past Off the Table Events
Lobster Rolls
We enjoyed a delicious summer treat in the middle of spring by teaching our class how to handle live lobsters and turn them into delicious lobster rolls.
Winter Warming
Focusing on longer cooks with hearty dishes, we developed a four week Series that included winter classics like chicken pot pie, mushroom risotto & wild boar bolognese.
Hanukkah
As a special one night event for Hanukkah, we held an Off the Table class dedicated to cooking latkes and matzo ball soup!
Off the Label - Rosé
By popular request from our Off the Table community- we hosted our first wine education course hosted by Split-Rail’s Michelle Szot, focused on rosés!
Your Love Story
For Valentine’s Day 2021 we offered our first private class ever. Two couples had the opportunity to tell us their love story & we created a cooking experience out of it!
Scream
During the month of October we returned with four events based on the Scream franchise. We focused on movie snacks, things you could eat with the film after class.
January 2022 Series
In January 2022 we launched a three week series featuring: On the Road cooking, Healthy + Hearty options & ending with Chef Zoe’s famous Fried Chicken!
Gumbo!
We celebrated our return to OFF THE TABLE with one of Chef’s favorites: gumbo! We welcomed fall together back with our cooking community with joy.
Dips for Dinner
To add some color and vibrancy to a fun one-off event, we created this beautiful vegan & gluten free dinner made up of three hearty dips and tons of crudité!
Demystify
Our first series event focused on demystifying certain culinary techniques and recipes including roasting a whole fish, hand rolled pasta, salads & whole roasted chicken.
